Association for Creative Zoology to participate in Chilhowee Park expo

printThe Association for Creative Zoology is pleased to announce that it will participate in the Centennial Conservation Expo to be held at Chilhowee Park in Knoxville on October 12th, 2013 from 10am-5pm. The Expo will mark the 100th anniversary of the 1913 National Conservation Exposition and celebrate a century of conservation in East Tennessee. The Expo will showcase Knoxville’s heritage and ongoing commitment to conservation. The Association will present a kiosk with prints and taxidermy specimens illustrating the principles of Creative Zoology.

While the Association for Creative Zoology did not participate in the original Exposition held in 1913, it was active in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania during this time, and several years later initiated a public education campaign that included displays in Knoxville and other cities in the southern United States.
