UT Ceramic Graduate Students have been busy exhibiting in numerous venues in recent months and they have many more planned. Victoria Buck, Kevin Kao and AJ Masterson each had works included in “ORANGE 2” an exhibition of UT graduate student work held at Co-Prosperity Sphere, Chicago, IL in conjunction with the annual College Art Association conference.
Ed Miller’s work “Smokestack” was selected by juror Buzz Spector, for inclusion in the upcoming “Positive/Negative” exhibition opening at the Tipton Gallery at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN, March 7.
Kevin Kao has had his work, Untitled (Gift), selected for inclusion in the “Clay V” show at the Kirkland Arts Center, Kirkland, WA juried by Akio Takamori, Doug Jeck, and Jamie Walker.
School of Art Professor Sally Brogden along with students Kevin Kao, AJ Masterson and Ed Miller had work featured in the recent exhibit “Earthen Bodies” curated by Karlota Contreras-Koterbay for the Tipton Gallery, East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, TN. And upcoming, Kevin Kao, a second year graduate student in ceramics at
UT and Xia Zhang, a graduate student in ceramics at West Virginia University will present their installation titled Bumfack Co. at this years NCECA Project Space to take place in conjunction with the annual conference in Milwaukee, WI, March 2014.
